SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Ephesians 4:14-16

Intro.: Key word of vv.14-16 = “Grow up”!

  Spiritual Growth = Stability and strength from a growing faith in 
  God’s Word and a stronger relationship with God. 

I.  The Christian Without Spiritual Growth.   v.14

• A child needs constant care and has limited joy .

   A. Despondent

II. The Christian With Spiritual Growth.     v.15

      A. A Life of Resemblance .     v.15b 
 

   B. A Life of Truth .      v.15a 
 

   C. A Life of Love .      v.15a 
 
 

III. The Church with Spiritual Growth.     v.16

      A. There is Strength in Unity .

            1) Christ is the source of life and strength. 

   2) The Church is the “whole body.” 

   3) Unity supplies the “members” life from the  
   “Head”! 
 

      B. There is Individual Responsibility .
