IT Or HE?!

I Samuel 4:1-3

 

Intro.: “It” = the Ark of the Covenant.

  I Sam. 4:3 – “The ark will save us” – No, it didn’t.

  I Sam. 7:8 – “God will save us”!  - Yes, He did! 
 

I. Will “It” Save Us?  - No!        I Samuel 4:1-18 
 

• In defeat, the Israelites ask, “What can we do?”

 
 
 
 

• In answer, the Israelites decide, “The ark will save us.”

 
 
 
 

• They forgot God !

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

II. Will “He” Save Us?  - Yes!   I Samuel 7:1-14
