PRIVILEGED!

Psalm 23:6

 

Intro.: This wonderful psalm reveals the love and care of our Great 
 Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ!

  “Surely” – knowing Him causes us to boast of Him with an  
  exclamation of complete confidence . 

I. Confident in the Care of the Lord.      v.6a 

   A. Two “Heavenly Escorts”.

    1) “Goodness” to Provide .

      “Goodness” = (Heb.) benefit , bountiful blessings,  
     pleasures, prosperity. 

            2) “Mercy” to Pardon .

     “Mercy” = (Heb.) favor, pity , forgiveness.

      B. Leaving a Legacy.

   - “shall follow me”

• Leaving behind a legacy for others to follow .

 
 

II. Content in the Household of the Lord.        v.6b 

      A. Permanence.

• No desire to change .

 

• Is eternal .

 
 

      B. Family.

• What makes a house a home ?

 
 

  C. Refuge. 
 

  D. Satisfaction.
