TRUE LOVE

I John 4:7-21

 

Intro.: True Love exemplifies God’s Love . 

  True Love is love that grows stronger . 

      How can we have this kind of love?:

  

I.  By the Source of Love.       vv.7, 8, 16 

• God is the source of love.

 

• Without God’s love, man is both blind and selfish .

 

• We have growing love by knowing God.

• In Salvation .
• In Service .

 

II. By the Demonstration of Love.     vv.12, 17 

• God’s “perfected love” is referring to God’s finished work and will .

 

• God’s love is “perfected” when we demonstrate God’s love.

 
 

III. By the Confidence in Love.      vv.17-18 

• No one can separate us from God’s love!

 

• Jesus Christ is God’s beloved Son and we became beloved too!

 

• God’s perfect love casts away our fear .

 

• Confidence in God’s Love gives us peace of heart and mind that makes us lovable and easy to love others!
